Last May I was visiting Montana for my son's graduation and, of course, as I waited for my plane at the airport in New York, one of the New York music houses I write for contacted me. They needed an upright bass and jazz drum track for one of their preferred clients IMMEDIATELY. I contacted Edd at Recording EDGe and explained my situation and dilemma to him. Later that day, when I arrived in Bozeman he had already found an upright bass for me to use (I hadn't even asked him to do that-he just took care of it for me!!!) and had blocked out time from his busy schedule for me to come to his studio and cut the aforementioned track.
I live and work in New York City and I’m used to working in some of the best studios and with some of the most top flight audio engineers in the world. I can't begin to express how easily, seamlessly and quickly Edd helped me put together an amazing track that sounded 100% as pristine and gorgeous as anything that can be done here in New York. He worked patiently with me until we had it just right and, thanks to Edd, I placed a track in a commercial that ran for 13 weeks on television! I could never have done it with out him.
I can't speak highly enough about Edd’s engineering and his abilities as a producer or-at least as importantly-his ability to allow the artist to feel comfortable and relaxed so that they can deliver the best performance possible. I highly recommend Recording EDGe studios to anyone who is serious about making the best possible recordings at the most competitive prices anywhere.

When I first walked into the Recording EDGe studio the environment was just what you would expect in a top notch session. Edd was ready with mics, phones and tracks. Well Edd, again I would just like to thank you for the wonderful experience of working at Recording EDGe. In between the bouts of hysterical laughter, i actually did learn quite a bit. MORE TONE !!!! What impressed me most was how you treated the clients. You respected them as artists but also kept the atmosphere jovial and lively--which in my opinion help to get the best personality out of the music, nothing ever sounded contrived or forced to fit a popular mould. The other thing that struck me is how much time Edd spent before the record button ever gets pushed.....MIC Placement is everything; with the exception of you have to have a good sounding room, excellent mics, a wonderful analogue mic pre, and well then you have to have great A/D converters...but only if they are synced up to an amazing master clock which then goes into a fierce computer running the Best DAW software.....then... then you are ready. Am i missing anything....yes. I am missing hanging out in the studio with my good buddy Edd Gryder.

Everyone really likes the Burning Strings CD and can't believe it is all just one person. I am still playing live for the community every week. The Burning Strings CD is being played on our local radio station and everyone seems to really like it. I will let you know soon how many more of the Burning Strings CD's I will need to be mailed.
